Its a real shame these days no matter what venture we get ourselves into, we have to look over our shoulders. The Web Design business is no exception. For those who are experienced or those who are newbies in this arena, make sure you do your research first when it comes to security =) Im not going into the ins and outs of programming here (I can hear a few of you sighing with relief) I merely wanted to share important information on the starting point of security – your wireless network.
I dont want to be an alarmist but we have all inherited a wireless network setup/systems on ideas back in the day when computers started out emerging from primordial circuits… Alas the old saying describes the situation perfectly “Closing the stable doors after the horse has bolted”. Basically, we are ALL operating our computer systems on WiFi’s that can easily be hacked whether its by a casual passerby or some one with more sinister intentions – By making you aware will help towards plugging up this problem -and ultimately telling the computer manufacturers to change how they produce wireless systems. The consequences of such security flaws can damage peoples lives as this kind of knowledge is available to terrorists and other criminal networks.
